  • Behavioral & Mental Growth:

    • First Fear Period (Approx. 8-10 weeks): Puppies become more aware of surroundings and may be easily scared by new, strange, or loud experiences.

    • Increased Independence: They are becoming more curious, adventurous, and capable of exploring their environment.

    • Stronger Human Attachment: Puppies form strong, lasting bonds with their owners, acting like "sponges" for learning.

    • Socialization Period: Critical phase for exposing them to new people, sounds, and environments to prevent fear-based behavior.

  • Physical & Training Milestones:

    • Improved Coordination: Increased agility and physical skills for play.

    • Teething Begins: Baby teeth may fall out, prompting a need for appropriate chew toys.

    • Potty Training: Bladder control is limited but improving; 8-week-old pups can generally hold it for about 4 hours.

    • Basic Obedience: They can learn simple commands using positive, short, 5–10-minute training sessions.
